The organizers decided to cancel the in person event for 2020 due to covid 19 however they are inviting participants to paddle for a purpose this summer by completing nine miles of paddling like at paddlefest at once or in multiple trips on your favorite local waterway. All trespassers will be reported to the local authorities and or vehicles will be towed.

Located in cincinnati this massive river runs through five counties and gives you 111 miles of water to explore. My girls and i had a great time. The three of us jumped on the mad river at the west liberty ball park off of rt 245 on a sunny morning around 9am. The water is clear enough to see the river bottom your entire trip.

The water is clear enough to see the river bottom in the more shallow areas and has a light current based on recent weather to carry you along but it s not so strong that you can t paddle against it. If you want to park in our lot and or take out on our landing there is a 5 fee. We were not disappointed. The mad river is an excellent river for you to discover the great outdoors by canoe.

We decided to go tubing mid week and usually focus on the little miami. A recommended launching site in the area is near fort ancient where you can take off on the water into the beautiful valley. Whether you re interested in canoe touring tripping or an afternoon of fishing getting you time is as easy as ever. We will definitely go back to mad river canoe again.

The river in our section for the most part is just 2 3 feet deep with some very small pools reaching 5 feet. The little miami river is the ideal place to go paddling in southwestern ohio.
